The sandwiches were not the problem they were made just like any other Jimmy John's takes them just a couple of minutes. I was the only one that was in the entire facility at the time. The problem comes in is when I spent $13.99 and I already have a coffee in my hands that I had just purchased and I was cold so I brought it in with me. Thinking that a customer that spends $13.99 at this establishment that they would at least put the two sandwiches that I purchased in a bag for me. Instead they decided to hand me both sandwiches with a loose receipt well they both clearly saw that I had something already in one of my hands. One said "here you go" and walked away from me. While they decided to both start cleaning before finishing with me since clearly one person puts them so far behind. I was having grab my own bag napkins and staple it all together the service here was absolutely atrocious in every way shape or form.

I live 2 minutes from there, but it still takes them 45 minutes to deliver a sandwich. And half the time they get my order wrong anyway (which is a big deal since I have a tomato allergy) so I have to call back and have them remake it...which takes another hour to get delivered. Food is fine, service is awful.

In my never-ending search for the quintessential work-week lunch destination I notice this Jimmy John's dropped in the semi-barren nexus of Hwy 280 - University Avenue - Pelham Blvd -&- the beginning/end of Franklin Avenue almost plastered to the front of some nondescript single level office space. It's about the only post 1980-looking facade in the area! That being said, I have eaten at a Jimmy John's before, in Roseville some time ago, and it was basically the similar experience, save for the terrible parking situation and the long lunchtime line. There's a parking lot, but they share it with the other tenants; JJ has limited spaces allocated. There's street parking, but both Pelham Blvd and University Avenue must be primary or secondary parking for neighboring businesses... and this particular JJ is not exactly located in a great place to 'circle the block'. And as I mentioned, the line was out of the door and growing. When I did get out of the place with my sandwich, it was what it was, but in the end I do not see this being a convenient lunch spot. No matter how fast they slap together the subs.

I agree that the parking situation is not ideal, and it is hard to find a space if you come here at lunchtime on a weekday. That said, I have found this to be one of the best Jimmy Johns in the Twin Cities, and I've tried quite a few of them because I love JJs! The employees here are nice, it's always clean, and for some reason my #1 always tastes better here. It's also the only restaurant in this part of town (the non-scary part of University), so it doesn't surprise me that it can get super busy. Don't fail to try it just because of the parking situation. I've always found there to be plenty of street parking on Pelham and the short walk won't kill you. If you like JJs, it's definitely worth it!

This JJ's is right by my work, so I've been there several times. Perks: --They do manage not to tease me when I order an "unwich" (sandwich made with lettuce wrapped around the ingredients) instead of the usual carb-laden bread offerings. --Everything seems fresh and reasonably tasty. --Friendly service. Not-Perks: --Pricey for what you get. --I work a 30-second drive and 3 minute walk from their facility. Delivery (when we've been in-meeting and didn't have time to step out) takes 30-40 minutes. Not so freaky fast, I'd say. Overall, a decent place to eat a quick bite. Better than Subway by leaps and bounds, and I appreciate the liberal use of sprouts.
